Problem
PayZapp is HDFC Bank's payments app, used by more than 10 million people, with native iOS and Android apps.
Before MyCards, adding, viewing and paying cards in PayZapp were spread across different parts of the app. MyCards brought them into one place. It was also PayZapp's first feature built in Flutter, so it had to prove that Flutter could run reliably inside two large native apps used by millions of people.
What I built
I owned the architecture and most of the Flutter code for MyCards, built as a module inside PayZapp's existing iOS and Android apps. I built shared UI components so the experience matched the rest of the app, and worked with design and product from the first concept through to release.
Results
- 70% rise in card additions
- 27% of all HDFC Bank bill payments now go through it
- 610% jump in card-management interactions
- Zero defects after release
- Won Zeta's Mountain Mover award for shipping it at 10M+ scale
