Privacy Policy — Nourish

When you sign in to Nourish using Google, we receive your email address and name from Google. We do not receive your Google password.

During onboarding and ongoing use, you provide the following profile information directly to the app:

• Age, weight, height
• Activity level and fitness goal (e.g. fat loss, muscle gain, stay healthy)
• Diet type (vegetarian, vegan, eggetarian, non-vegetarian)
• Cuisine preferences and dietary restrictions
• Optional list of ingredients you keep at home
• Notification preferences for meal reminders

We also store information generated by your use of the app:

• The meals you log (name, calories, macros, time)
• The water you log
• AI requests you make (meal-plan generation, recipe lookups, swap suggestions, nutrition lookups) and the response data, used to enforce daily rate limits and audit usage
• Feedback you submit through the in-app feedback form
• Anonymous analytics events (which screens you open, which actions you take) collected by PostHog

We do not collect:

• Your location
• Your contacts
• Photos or files from your device
• Health data from Google Fit, Apple Health, or any wearable
• Any payment or financial information

We use the information we collect to:

• Generate personalised meal plans, recipes, and nutrition estimates using OpenAI's API
• Track your nutritional progress and streaks
• Send local notifications you've opted into (meal reminders, water reminders)
• Identify and prevent abuse of AI features
• Improve the app based on aggregated usage patterns
• Respond to feedback you submit

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

All user data is stored in a Supabase Postgres database hosted in the United States. Supabase is operated by Supabase Inc. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.

When you make an AI request (meal plan, recipe, swap, nutrition lookup), the relevant profile fields (goal, calorie target, diet type, etc.) are sent to OpenAI's API to generate a response. OpenAI does not retain this data to train their models — we use the standard chat/completions endpoint with retention disabled per OpenAI's API policy.

Anonymous analytics events are sent to PostHog (us.posthog.com).

You can:

• Update your profile at any time from the Profile tab
• Delete a logged meal by long-pressing the entry in the Log tab
• Disable notifications from the Profile screen or your device settings
• Sign out from the Profile screen
• Request full account deletion by emailing codelifewithharsh@gmail.com. We will permanently delete your profile, meal logs, AI usage history, and feedback within 30 days.

Nourish is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will indicate the date of the last update at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated in the app.
